This policy explains exactly what Startup Consultancy collects from you, why, who sees it and how long we keep it. In short: we collect the contact details you type into a form on this site, and the identity and tax documents you send us when you buy a service. We use them to prepare and submit your filings. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this website, and we do not share your documents with anyone except the government agency your filing is addressed to and the service providers named below.
If you want your data deleted, email [email protected] from the address you contacted us with, and say so plainly. We will confirm in writing what was deleted and what we are required to keep.

That is the complete list for the website itself. This site runs no advertising pixels, no session recording, no A/B testing tool and no third-party analytics script at all. There is no cookie banner because we set no tracking cookies to ask you about.
What we collect when you buy a service
Formation and tax filings cannot be prepared without the documents the agency requires. Depending on the service that means some of:
- Identity documents. A passport copy, and for an ITIN application a certified copy or the original, because IRS Form W-7 requires proof of identity and foreign status.
- Address and contact details for you and for any other member or beneficial owner of the company.
- Company details: proposed name, state, ownership percentages, and the information a BOI report requires about each beneficial owner.
- Financial records where we prepare a return: bank statements, invoices, records of transactions between you and the company.
We ask for the minimum the relevant form requires. If you are unsure why a document is needed, ask before you send it and we will point you at the specific line on the specific form.
Who your information is shared with
- The government agency your filing is addressed to. The Secretary of State of your formation state, the IRS, or FinCEN. This is the entire point of the engagement.
- Our registered agent partner in your formation state, where registered agent service is part of what you bought. They receive your company name and service-of-process address.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data only on our instructions: the web host that runs this site, and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the domain and sees request metadata including your IP address.
- Our email provider, which carries correspondence between us.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers, advertisers or lead-generation networks. We do not use your documents to train any machine-learning model.
The client portal at portal.startupconsultancyofficial.com is a separate application on its own subdomain. Documents you upload there are held under this same policy.
Where your data is held, and for how long
Our systems and our providers are in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information is transferred to and stored in the US.
- Enquiries that do not become engagements: kept for 24 months, then deleted.
- Client files: kept for seven years after the last filing. Tax filings can be examined years after the fact and we may be asked to produce the record we filed from.
- Identity documents: deleted once the filing they were needed for is accepted, unless the agency requires us to retain a copy.
- Server logs: rotated within 90 days.
Your rights, and how to use them
Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete what we are not legally required to keep;
- stop emailing you, which you can also do from the unsubscribe link in any email;
- send your data to another provider in a portable format.
Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for this. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your national data protection authority; if you are in California you have the rights the CCPA gives you, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
Security, stated honestly
This site is served over HTTPS only. Form submissions are written to storage that is not publicly reachable, and access to client files is limited to the people working on your filing. Passwords for the client portal are stored hashed, never in plain text.
What we will not tell you is that any of this makes a breach impossible. It does not. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you what happened, what was exposed and what we are doing about it, and we will do so without waiting to be asked. Please do not send identity documents over unencrypted channels such as social-media messages; ask us for a secure upload link instead.
Children
Our services are for adults forming and running companies. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top of this page is the date this policy last changed. If we change it in a way that affects what we do with information we already hold, we will email the address on your file before the change takes effect rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
